We have concluded our Distinguished Lecture Series, Scales of the Universe, from the Fall semester with a
record attendence of 500 and standing room only in the largest lecture hall on campus. Slides with Audio from the lectures
can be found here.
The International Year of Astronomy (2009) will bring a new theme
semester to LSA and a new distinguished lecture series, celebrating the 400th anniversary of the
first astronomical observation through a telescope (look how far we've
come)! Please check the departmental
site regarding the changes the
theme semester will bring, and the dates and times for the lectures.
